George Jones Country Style Sausage

Sausage-Bake

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1 lb bulk pork sausage
6 slices french bread (cubed)
2 tsps dried Basil
1 tsp Dill
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
6 eggs
2 cups milk

Melt butter. Pour into 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Brown sausage and set aside. Layer half the cubed bread in baking pan (or dish) and sprinkle with Basil, Dill and cheese. Sprinkle browned sausage over herbs and cheese. Layer rest of bread. Beat eggs well and add milk. Pour over contents of baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour or until set. Cut into squares and serve hot.
