Spicy Sausage Breakfast Bake

(10 servings)

• 2 pounds George Jones Hot Sausage

• 1 pound mild breakfast sausage

• 3/4 cup instant grits

• 2 and 1/4 cup milk

• an addition 3/4 cup milk

• 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)

• 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese

• 1 (5 oz.) jar sharp processed cheese spread

• 12 eggs

• 3/4 cup milk

• 4 oz. sharp cheddar cheese -- shredded

• Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Grease a 9x13 pan.Brown all sausage, breaking up as it cooks. Drain and set aside.

Add grits to 2 and 1/4 cup very-near-boiling milk and cook for 5 to 7 minutes. To grits, add butter, Parmesan cheese and sharp processed cheese spread, plus salt, pepper and any additional spices.

In a medium baking pan, layer sausage then grits mixture. Beat 12 eggs with 3/4 cup milk. Pour over grits layer. Top with cheddar cheese.

Bake at 350 for one hour.
